No wonder why girls are shoe Lover!

Call me CRAZY, but shoes are sexy and I love them!

We all know that shoes are collected and loved by women across the globe, and let me add you guys love it when you see women with their heels on! Don’t you?

We see shoes everywhere; in magazines, calendars, photographs, stores and let’s not forget the most important place which’s women's closets.

Whether its heels, sandals ballerinas or boots … I’m a shoe lover! Yes, they are precious to me!

Seems it was an addiction when I was a kid. Mom use to tell me that I use to open her closet and look for them, especially the heels! And sometimes when her friends are over, they used to take off their shoes and I just can’t wait anymore to try them.

So why do we you think girls love their shoes?

Well simply because:

• We girls love fashion, we love shopping, we love colors and we love being dressed and stylish

• When its heels we all know they give us a good look or let me say we want to look Hot!

• Who doesn’t want CHANGE! That means we don’t like wearing the same shoes every day.

• I need to match the shoe with my outfit, isn’t it ladies ;) We always look for the complete style

• Shopping?? Because they are part of our shopping tool! Common we can’t resist buying a new pair of shoes every time we pass by a shoe store…!

• The feeling of happiness when they buildup in your closets and you just go like which one should I pick to wear today! See you have many options

• They last for a long period because you don’t really wear the same shoes every day

My Beloved Istanbul!!

If you haven’t gone there yet, then you should.

My visit to Istanbul remains one of the greatest vacations I ever had. I would really encourage you to see, smell and taste everything I experienced over their and which I will be talking about in this post.

My stop there was for only 5 days! I wish if I stayed more! You can’t really get bored, it’s just fun! There are many things to do and as much as you do you still feel you’re missing out a lot. I can’t tell you how much busy the city is, whether its morning, afternoon or nighttime. It’s one of the most impressive cities in the world.

The weather, the nature, the people, the food, the crowd and everything in Istanbul makes it the best place for a holiday.

I stayed in Ortakoy area, one of the nicest neighborhoods in the European side of Istanbul, on the Bosphorus strait, right under the first Bosphorus Bridge. The view from the hotel was Awesome!! The area was full with tourists and very very busy.

It’s a very popular spot to drop by, and I advise you to take a short boat trip along the Bosphorus, which will last for 1 hour. The area is full with a huge choice of cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets as well as the small bazaars that’s full with scarves, jewelleries and many other things.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the shisha with the banana flavor there. I use to drop their every night to have dinner and shisha. I really miss it!

Other spectacular views and places you should visit in Istanbul is “Sultanahmet area”. It’s the heart of the imperial center of the Ottoman Empire and an important tourism spot. The Great architectural attractions their are Topkapı Palace, Aya Sofya, the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome.

The architecture is just woow!!

During our stop there, we met one of the Istanbul residents who stayed with us for almost 2 hours to guide us on what could we do and were to go. He was really friendly and wonderful! We dropped by his family carpet shop and had tea together. We also bought some hand made pillows which are wonderful!!

Other major spots you shouldn’t miss is the Galata tower from which one can see spectacular views of the city. You can really spend a great evening there. The food is just great and the shows are very entertaining.

Other major commercial centers in Istanbul were Taqsim, Istqlal and the spice bazaar market; these are the city focal points for shopping and very packed areas throughout the day until late night!

I can’t tell you how much I love enjoyed it and how terrific it was!
I would still be glad to explore other places in Turkey if I had another chance!

Its worth a visit believe me ☺

BlackBerry Fever

This smart phone device which was produced and packaged to be used by business people is now being excessively used by teenagers (mostly) and university students.

It’s a trend now a day for teenagers to hold a mobile, but not any other mobile, you got to have the Blackberry device because all your friends are using it and by not having one it’s like you’re missing a lot out there.

Last week, while I was checking my Facebook page, I found one of my friends posting a status saying “blackberry group please check your messages”. A comment from an individual stated “people who don’t have BB could you please mention what you’ve sent here or inbox me?” That’s what I mean by saying you’re missing something if you don’t use it.

Holding BB smart phone has become one of the most wanted things among teenagers and university students. Talking issue is not the reason, it’s mostly texting, gaming, MP3 capabilities, twittering, facebooking and Internet access are among the most sought after features. With so much power and function crammed into this device, everyone and especially teens became reliant on it, and it becomes more difficult to control their usage.

My sister whose 15-years old, as any other girl goes to school, which means by 11 at least she should be in bed sleeping so she can wake-up early the other day and perform well. By 10 she knows that she should be closing her laptop, which means shut down the internet because mom would keep nagging on her to go sleep. But do you think she would say NO?
Well her Blackberry is there to satisfy her texting and gossiping needs and keep her posted.

What I’m trying to say over here is teens feel the need to carry their phones with them wherever they go, so they'll never miss a call or a text message.
You see that everywhere, in cinemas, shopping malls, restaurants, parks and beaches trust me the list won’t finish. The BlackBerry fever is changing behaviors without any one feeling it. It’s a disease and obsession.

I have graduated from university 2 and half years back, and at that time haven’t really seen any phone disease obsession. But now a days I have heard a lot about how the use of smart phones in classes is overwhelming.
Well Blackberries have become the choice of majority.

Shisha is the key to my mood!

We all do experience a bad day and feel a bit down from time to time.

For some, reading a book or watching a movie would help and for others playing a guitar or listening to music would also help.

But for me it’s different!

One thing could help me escape and make my mood improve is smoking Shisha of my preferred flavor (Grape is my choice). I’ve never been a heavy smoker in my life and I’m not going to lie and say I never tried cigarettes, but still cigarettes have no appeal for me.

When it comes to Shisha, it’s all different, though it still counts as smoking and it’s bad for the health, but in my world Shisha is irresistible.

Child Marriage is an Organized Crime

The issue of early marriage now a day’s is still widespread in our modern life. Unfortunately, when it comes in our minds what are the reasons behind it, we end up talking about money, poverty and social culture .

I read an article in Sayidaty magazine about their investigation into the marriages of child brides and problems as how they managed to prevent the marriage of four child brides in the Eastern region.

How would you react to this when you hear a 14 year old girl was married twice to an old man and she’s a divorcee now? And the reasons that her family claims is she needs money and it’s not a wrong thing to do as our culture believes it’s best for the girl to marry at an early age.Ok, let me digest the following in my mind!!

Excuse me! You are trying to convince me by saying a 14 -year old girl is ready and capable of getting married and bein independent? She already understands what life is? She’s mature enough to make that big decision in her life. Right?

Sorry, but I believe that’s considered sickness

Is it wrong for a girl to live her childhood? Play out with her friends? Go to school and complete her education?

If she got married and divorced who cares about her? If her family dont't why would the society bother?

Just a question to every family who still supports child marriages, could you think for a while about how this innocent girl feels now? Especially when she compares herself with her friends who are enjoying their childhood? Were you not aware of the circumstances of what your hands made?

For men, or for a 50 year old man who accepts to marry a child, what shall I tell you? You are sick and a pervert!

For me, in now a days, I believe that early age marriages is between (22 – 25) were the girl have completed her education, started working and ready to start a new life. But trying to convince me that the age of 12 or 14 is an early age, it’s simply a crime and whoever accepts this on their children then they don’t deserve to have them.

If you don’t have responsibilities to take care of them, feed them and give them the education that they should have and open their eyes on life, why did you bring them to life?

So let me put it in this way, as a mom and dad you step back from doing so and you solve that by getting them married.

Sorry to say, you’re not making it any better when you marry them off.

Typographic Madness

Since designers know what I’m talking about leave them aside and tell me how many of you know what typography is?

When I brought the word typography in front of one of my colleagues at work he asked me what do you mean? So, I told him I will blog about it to answer your question.

To clarify it in the simplest way I can. Typography is a technique of arranging typefaces (Fonts) around the whitespace to create a whole design or piece of art.
Think about it as you’re arranging letters! Doest it make any sense?

I hope so ☺

Typography is used as a medium to present information and to be read by users. What you see everywhere in road signs, shampoo bottles, toothpaste, billboard, books, magazines and online...etc are all examples of typography.

Designers use it to communicate their ideas through their works. It’s an art that no one can escape it!

The Cat and the Mouse

I’m talking about Tom & Jerry!

Let me start first by saying happy Easter to everyone celebrating it today ☺

Bored and nothing to do, I decided to sit and watch TV. Switching from channel to channel I lastly stopped to see Tom & Jerry series on TV.

Who doesn’t remember the adventurous cartoon show ever when the cat (Tom) and the little mouse (Jerry) chase each other’s around? This great series that’s created by William Hanna & Joseph Barbera remains the best cartoon of all times.

Don’t you agree?

Tom & Jerry was part of my childhood and let me assume it was part of yours too. I remember that I never missed to watch the show as I was always waiting to see what battle are these two up for.

It’s very interesting, funny, entertaining and very much adventurous. Though I hate adventurous shows/movies, but this one is absolutely hilarious.

The animation, the music, the characters are all putt together in a great format which is brilliant.

I LOVE IT!

Who said Embroidery is an old Fashion!

Coming from an Arab culture and originally from Palestine, I'm proud to talk about one of our important symbols in Palestinian that’s Embroidery which we call it “Tatreez”.

Embroidery which known to be practiced by village women, It's the principal decoration of rural women clothing. It was part of a village woman's daily routine and a means of showing off her personal skills and social identity.

If that was what Embroidery means 50 years ago, what about now?

Will you agree with me if I said it’s a tradition that generations have inherited to each other to express heritage, ancestry and affiliations?

A lot of people enjoy buying these Embroidery pieces such as pillows, wall pieces & rugs to decorate their homes with. I’ve always seen that in my grandmother who never made anyone touch these pieces at her place and if we do so, she gets panicked!.I knew these pieces are precious to her.

If Embroidery home pieces are our grandparents & family interests to decorate home with? Then what about modern life? Modern girls?

Do you consider Embroidery as a fashion thing? Like Embroidery purse, bands, accessories and key chains? or anything that you can relate to fashion!?

Do you?

In my opinion I find these Embroidery pieces have always been and will remain a vibrant handicraft.I’ve seen that in one of my colleagues who impressed everyone around with her new Embroidery "Tatreez" business which she calls it "Kan3aneya".

If you were wondering what "Kan3aneya" is...its basically her family name.

It’s really nice to see how Embroidery passed on with new variations of colors, textures and yet with the same traditional patterns and expressions.

What I really liked about “Kan3aneya” work is the fact she’s creating embroidery accessories to give all modern girls a chance to enjoy the beauty of embroidery with their daily outfits.

Which I believe it’s gorgeous!

I already ordered my pieces and keen to have them soon!! so probably i should share the photos as I receive them! ☺

If you are one of the fans of “Tatreez” then you should be checking Kan3aneya group on FB http://bit.ly/czkt4j

Do you count on your Horoscope?

So its Friday fellows!
Starting the day by sitting with the family to have a breakfast and in couple of hours I’ll be heading to have lunch at my sister place!

Friday… yes Friday, it’s the only day that brings us all together on one table, as everyone is busy with his/her work, university and other stuff during the week!
So after mingling let’s see what does the newspaper have today. Ok reading across Mmm….nothing new! It’s all the same.

Lets see what my sign brings today! Any luck? Any surprises?

So ya that’s the story! Are you one of the people who count on your sign?
I’m not a strong believer in zodiac signs as I’m not from the people who wake up and start their day by finding about their horoscopes but still I do like to check & read them.

I really can’t tell when was the last time I checked my horoscope but today as I came across the signs page I did.
Should I say because of the free time I’m having? Or its just the mood made me check them??? I really don’t know.

There are some of us who have fate in their horoscopes and they do trust every single word that their sign brought in everyday and still cant just go without getting to know what their sign today brings them.

But common fellows! Pick up a magazine and 2 different newspaper and go online as well, do you think that you’ll have the same thing stated over and over in this particular day, in the three resources that you’ve picked!

Well, for me the answer is Hell No!

When I thought about it for a second, I think it comes out to be a psychological thing! For instance, if the sign mentions that you would meet a special person today and you already know that you are going to do so then you tend to say it’s true I’m meeting this special person today.

But hold on a second! Why couldn’t it just be a coincidence? As simple as this ☺
So if you’re one of the believers of signs and you’re of the people who like to see their future ahead should I say you lack faith? Do you really? What’s your explanation if its not lack of faith then?

What’s with the Pouting Lips in Photos?

You might think this topic is a silly topic to blog about, but if so, I still didn’t change my mind to post it.

Pouting has been around for a while and still is a trend that a lot of girls express while taking a picture. Whether its children, teens or the eldest they all tend to pout in a photo. I always wondered why some of us do so?

Yes, I’m not going to lie and pretend that I don’t, because I actually do sometimes in my pictures and ya I love poses! Still I do get questioned and criticized.

So do you pout because that’s what you think you should be doing?

Is it a fashionable trend to pout? Or is it because of celebrities you see pouting? Or it’s about looking sexy & attractive?

Today when a friend wanted to take a picture of me I posed & pouted! I didn’t intend to do so but that’s what happened, it’s just how I posed!
Her response was “could you stop being silly” … I laughed saying! What! It’s only a pout!
So girls if you are one of the girls who do pout why do you do so? Are you trying to expose your lips more?

or its the society we are living in played a role in making you believe what you see’s in a magazines is the image of you to strive & emulate for.

Do pouting really means a girl is not being physically, mentally, and emotionally her self?
Why is it a big deal! I’m not trying to defend myself because I do pout…but I would want to see how you see it!

What do you think?
